TV3 Studio: Bespoke Furniture for the Broadcasting Environment
Custom-Engineered Solutions for High-Frequency Operations
The TV3 Studio project is a masterclass in bespoke furniture design tailored for a professional broadcasting environment. In an industry where functionality, ergonomics, and rapid daily usage are mission-critical, our team delivered specialized solutions engineered to withstand the unique pace and technical requirements of a television production hub.
Makeup and Preparation Suites
The core of this project involved the creation of professional vanity and preparation units. These were designed with a deep focus on lighting precision, specialized storage, and user ergonomics to ensure seamless pre-broadcast preparation. Integrated features include:
- Bespoke vanity units with high-clarity mirrors.
- Integrated studio-grade LED lighting for color-accurate makeup application.
- Smart power management, including recessed electrical outlets and integrated plumbing/water zones.
- Dedicated wardrobe storage for immediate costume access.
Lounges and Common Areas
We designed the TV3 lounge areas as a sanctuary for presenters and production crews between broadcasts. These spaces prioritize comfort and “visual cleanliness,” ensuring the environment remains professional and clutter-free even under heavy use. Key Implementations:
- Lounge furniture featuring integrated kitchenette functionality.
- Floating cabinetry and minimalist shelving to maximize floor space.
- High-durability surfaces designed for intensive, round-the-clock rotation.
Wardrobe and High-Volume Storage
Given the immense volume of costumes, props, and technical equipment, specialized storage was a priority. We implemented high-capacity systems that allow for rapid retrieval and organized management.
- Custom wall-to-wall wardrobes and integrated dressing systems.
- Changing room modules featuring integrated mirrors and privacy drapery.
- Industrial-grade storage units designed for rapid access and heavy-duty load-bearing.
Technical and Auxiliary Spaces
The project extended into the studio’s “back-of-house” areas, including technical zones and restrooms. The construction and materials for these auxiliary spaces were selected for their extreme resilience and ease of maintenance in a high-traffic facility.
The Result
The TV3 Studio project demonstrates how custom furniture can be precisely calibrated to the rhythm of a modern media house. From the high-pressure environment of the makeup chair to the organized chaos of the wardrobe department, our solutions provide a professional, orderly, and highly functional foundation for the TV3 team.
